A wishing spell
Wishes that are not possible are usually not worth going after. It is important
to know what you want and go after it.
The bay lead possesses powerful magickal properties and is used for granting
wishes. You will need 3 fresh bay leaves to perform this simple spell
When the moon a new, write your wish out on a piece of paper. Now visualize
your wish coming true. Fold the paper into thirds and place the bay leaves inside. Again visualize your wish coming true.
Fold the paper in thirds once again and hide it in a dark place. Keep visualizing your wish coming true.Once the wish has
been granted the paper should be burned as a thank you.
Spell Binder
This is best used at the end of a spoken or written spell. I have found
that it adds a bit of oomph to the releasing of energy. It also works best if you are wearing a pentagram that is attunes
to you. With all of your energy say:
By the pentagram I wear
Water, fire, earth and air
Ruled by spirit as al should be
As I speak it
SO MOTE IT BE!
Guidelines to writing your own spell
In making spells it helps to write things out in an outline first, and
then work your ritual out from there. Here is an outline to use.
- Define the goal of the ritual
- Decide when and where you will work, keeping in mind lunar phases and
days of the week.
- Find or create an appropriate chant (a simple rhyme will do)
- If you will be invoking a God or Goddess, decide on which one and write
out any special prayers that you could use to call that deity
- Plan how to visualize your goal in mind, describe it.
- Decide on any correspondences that you want in your ritual, write these
down and decide on how to include these in your ritual.
With all this written out you are ready to decide how you will perform
the ritual.
Artistic Inspiration
Prepare:
- Pen, pencil or paintbrush, depending on the art form.
- White glue (Elmers is the best)
- Silver glitter
- Almond, sage or vanilla essential oil
- A white candle
This is a simple spell to bring out divine inspiration to write or create
visual art.
Anoint the candle with the essential oil you have chosen and using the
athame or a small sharp tool, inscribe the name, Brighid (goddess of poetic inspiration) or if you prefer a different deity,
inscribe their name into the candle. Light your candle and begin
Squeeze some glue onto a piece of scrap paper and dip the end (not the
useable end!!) into the glue, covering about an inches worth. Then roll the end in glitter so that it completely covered.
As you do this focus on the inspiration that you seek. Say your own blessing over the tool then sit it so that the glue can
dry without the glitter getting smashed. The next day, make a few attempts at your art with your newly enchanted tool in hand.
Let the inspiration come to you and flow from your mind onto the material.
